Dale Chihuly

.. he is an American Artist, plying his trade in 'Glass' of all media.
His exhibition in 'The Royal Ontario Museum'  (ROM) is simply breath taking.
The pictures I took are but a small approximation of the real thing.
Some of the images I deliberately took with people in the picture so one can appreciate the size.
Please do not ask me how these works are transported to the various venues. They must be as fragile as glass !!!

The front ( on Bloor Street) of the ROM
and a
Sight Seeing Bus.
This too is Toronto !

Float Boat 2014
Evoking the idea of a 'Horn of Plenty'
with various glass forms literally spilling out of the boat.

The Purple Boat

Laguna Torcello ( 2012 )

This "intricate garden of glass"
must be seen from many different angles.

Red Reeds on Logs
Contrasting tall glass Reeds with white birch logs from Ontario, this spectacular installation offers striking contrasts between the various colours, densities and textures of the materials used.

There are many more examples of this artist's work.
maybe I'll show more later
or better still, come and see this beautiful creation for yourself.
